Is going organic realistic?

It’s clear that having a food movement would have many benefits and is in our country’s best interest. Not only would people be healthier, but they would also be able to save money on future hospital bills that are bound to happen. There would be so many positive outcomes of a food movement and I am definitely in support of our country “going organic”, but if we’re being honest, thinking that we can completely change this country’s eating habits is just unrealistic.
No matter how many people want to make all of the food that we eat organic, there will always be just as many people that would fight to save restaurants like McDonald’s and Taco Bell. The fact of the matter is it is cheap. People could keep the fact that it might cause expensive hospital bills in the future in mind, but they won’t. All that people worry about is that they are saving money right now.
Another reason that dangerous foods are not going anywhere is people like the taste. Plain and simple. They crave it. I am sure that there are people out there that would not be able to survive with a Big Mac or a Whopper every once in a while. I’ll even admit that, even though I am supportive of a food movement, fast food places have food that taste good, no matter how disgusting it is.
A food movement is a great idea and something that we should continue to make progress on but, no matter how much dangerous food we get rid of, we will never be able to completely rule it out.
