This gamer nonsense.

I have a really hard time believing the arguements that were stated about video gamers and solving the problems of the world. As we know there are tons of problems in the world that have been going on for centuries. Unfortunately, we have not found people in the world that can overcome these problems. We have found people that can create chunks of metal that have four wheels to get us places quickly, but we cannot find the answers to hunger. There have been attempts like communism that makes since theoretically, but in practice is terrible. With all that being said, I find it very impossible that video games and video gamers are the people of the future to fix these problems. I will agree that being a video gamer comes with many perks. You learn hand eye corrdination, problem solving skills, and crisis managment, but just because you can do this on a video game doesn't mean that you can be great in the real world.  Just because you know how to slay a dragon in a video game doesn't mean that you are prepared to take down every single gunman that goes into a public place. We have people that have already volunteered their lives to do that, such as police officers. Also, Why would we have to worry about the video gamers at all? The video game designers were the people that not only came up with the solution, but also the problem that needs to be solved! Why are we not trying to get them on the action in saving the world of its problems? I believe that is the biggest problem that I have with this argument. Why does it only have to be video gamers? The people that design the games have just as much or even more of the skills that the gamers have that can contribute to solving these problems!
