The title is a little inappropriate, but unfortunately I am
a fan of Mac Miller, and I thought it was clever since I’m writing about
hipsters.
Anyways.
I thought the presentation about hipsters that we saw today
was hilariously true! And also, I didn’t
realize that there was so much hate towards hipsters! I don’t like it. I love the hipster look; especially all you
bearded hipster men.
I do agree that many of the people in the category of
hipsters try WAY too hard. For instance,
they won’t like something (even if they want to like it), because too many
other people like. That’s something I do
not understand. Why would you deprive
yourself of liking something just because someone else likes it?
And on the other end, why are you trying SO hard to like
something that deep down you actually aren’t even interested in. Some of y’all try to force yourself into
liking things.
I feel like I often get labeled as a hipster because of the
way I dress and the fact that I wear glasses.
I’m not striving to be a hipster, because I am not cool enough to be
one. I tried to understand art once, and
I gave up after 5 minutes.
It’s so cliché, but just be YOU. It’s easier said then done, but allow
yourself to not care about what other people think. People will respect you more if you’re
real. If you’re a hipster deep down, be
a hipster. Do your thing!
