I Have decided to blog about
something that may be controversial to some but to me this subject is simply
something that has always bothered me and I haven’t really the proper place to
discuss this until now. Especially since the subject that I am discussing is the
topic of Valentine’s Day and not many guys want simply sit around play some
halo and talk about candy, flowers and hearts… the things that make up Valentine’s
Day, at least in today’s society.
I do believe that Valentine’s Day
use to be something truly special for one person to show another how they feel
about them by giving them some sort of gift or taking them out on the town for
a night or simply just doing something special for a loved one in your life. Although,
now due to how our society works and with all of the social networks that are
available for everyone it seems as if Valentine’s Day has become who can get
the best gift for their better half to post on these said social networks to
boast about it to their friends. In Conclusion, I do believe the true idea of Valentine’s
Day is still there, although it has gotten slightly skewed due to the medias effect
on our lives.
