Video Games can not be Justified
During our discussion today I found it to be very hard to grasp the concept of what she was trying to prove. In my opinion and knowledge of people who play video games such as my cousin who lives with me, it has effected his knowledge and school greatly. The video today said that the average gamer plays as many hours of video games as the amount of school they had spent. This to me has shown that they are wasting there time because the simple fact is that they are not being productive and doing this for fun rather then what they should be doing on a daily basis. As I watch my cousin, who now lives with me, he has been spending more time in his room playing video games rather then going to classes or doing homework most of the time. In my opinion this type of argument shouldn't even be tried to be justified because it is doing nothing but wasting time and making you lazy. Yes, you may learn a couple things that were listed in class today but actually applying that to real world situations is hard to do. In my experience the people I know tend to be shy and also not at all competitive when it is needed like what was said today to help the so called gamers. The fact of the matter is that these games can take over your life and you almost get addicted to them. By being addicted to anything it is a bad thing. Your main focus in life is strictly based around there addiction because that always comes first in addiction. Overall it was hard for me to listen to the video because no matter what facts she gives seemed to have more of a down side to the situation then for the better. This is why I still do not play video games nor have I ever really played or owned any games or systems to play on.
