Reading the article for today, I was definitely shocked that it wasn't like the typical article about video games. We usually read about how games are to blame for children being violent and somewhat antisocial these days. I have never really believed any of that. I believe that you are who your parents raise you to be and then, when you are old enough, you form your own way of life. Anyway, back to my point: I was surprised that this article wasn't like every other one.
However... I'm not sure I buy this article's point either. We can change the world's problems if billions of us spend billions of hours playing video games? I just don't know. I think it would be a better use of our time to actually work on solving the world's problems as opposed to attempting to get people to play more video games so that we can test to see if the theory works. I am just not persuaded by the idea at all. I think it's a great theory. If such a thing were going to work, that would be awesome, but I don't think it's entirely realistic.
