Branded
This
was the first set articles that really grabbed my attention and interest. As
children, we tended to grasp things based off of visuals, then by voice. That’s what all of these articles were talking
about. How the brand of a company goes a long way in today’s society. It wasn’t
mentioned in the article but brand logos have gotten to be so universally known
and popular that apple decided to take advantage and create a game that shows
pictures of a logo and the user must say what brand it is. Branding has become
such a big deal towards infancy that businesses have tried to place logo’s on
toys so as the child gets older, they remember the brand. An example of this
was with how Bob the Builder was placed in hardware stores. The adults already
attended the store often but the kids did not. How else could the store get
more future revenue? They got it by placing the Bob the builder logo so the child would get familiar
with the store’s brand. As stated in
the article, future generations inherit the loyalties of their parents. Companies
must take advantage so that they can keep ahead of the competition. This is one
of the main reasons that fast food restaurants do Happy Meals and have toys. As
a child, you want to be happy and you want to have toys. After a while, you
just keep sticking with that same old fast food spot, then you’re kids are
doing what you were doing and so on and so forth. It’s a never-ending cycle.
