War...what is it Good for?

I think that war in our country and society will always be prevalent because it is so profitable. It feels like every time our country is in a jam we find some excuse to go to war with a country in order to get out of that jam. The reason we got out of the Great Depression was because of a war. Many people forget that our country was founded because of the war. All the big industries in our country make the most profit during times of war. Our country says that they are for world peace but in actuality they are the complete opposite because all the big industries are used to the success that war brings that they tried to find any excuse at all possible to go to war. In my opinion the popularity of war will never diminish. Not just because a profit but also because of how violent our society is. A lot of the violent material shown in our movies is banned in a lot of other countries. The most popular video games are based on war and violence.  I think this is because somebody wants violence and war to be on our mind at all times. Peace eliminates all conflict and without any conflict there is no drama or excitement. When our country learns how to thrive and succeed without the need of war, it is then that the popularity of war will decrease.
